Ebert monochromator - also known as the Fastie-Ebert monochromator

A quarter meter Ebert Monochromator (Fastie-Ebert monochromator) uses two gratings, each
blazed at different wavelengths. The gratings are mounted on one assembly and are interchanged by rotation of an external
control knob. To work in regions other than the
visible, or if only one
grating is needed, use the 82-415 model and choose one
or two gratings
to cover any desired region from 200 nm to 40
µm. Two bayonet-type slits are provided which can be
removed and interchanged for other slits. This
feature allows resolution or high
throughput measurements, depending on the width of the
slit used. An adjustable slit is also available.
The MonoSpec 25 features an Ebert optical
design with the entrance and exit slits in a straight line configuration. This optical system provides high throughput
with an aperture
of f/3.5. The optical system has an all-aluminum
casting.
